This customer left us an awesome roofing review after she had called us about storm damage to her roof caused by a recent storm. You could see the damage from the ground and there were torn shingles in the yard. While not all storm damage is this obvious, this roof happened to be. We ended up doing a storm damage roof replacement and it was paid for by her insurance.

Roofing Reviews Project 3: Roof Wind Damage

This recent example of a full roof replacement serves as another great example of the no hassles roofing services that every homeowner should be provided. In particular, this customer had severe wind damage to their home following a storm. They could see visible damage to their roof from the ground in certain areas, but they had no idea of how extensive the damage was until they called us for a roof inspection.

In many cases, what appears to be an easy fix roof repair, ends up being a full roof replacement do to the the extent of the damage. When our highly trained roofer inspected the rest of the roof there was lots of damage across multiple sections of the roof. Primarily, there were lifted-up shingles that seemed okay from the ground. Lifted-up shingles are a type of roof damage when a storm pulls the shingle up, damaging the shingle seal, but it doesn’t rip the shingle completely off the roof. The roof was loaded with shingles with broken seals and this makes the home vulnerable to lots of roof leaks. Consequently, that means lots of interior damage with each rain storm.

Once our roofer was finished with the roof inspection, he provided the damage assessment to the homeowner. The damage was extensive and we concluded it was worthy of a storm damage claim. Also, he provided a detailed step-by-step process of how to proceed and the customer filed a claim.

Next, the insurance adjuster scheduled their inspection and the homeowner requested that we be there as well to be certain no damage was missed. Not surprisingly, the claim was approved and this homeowner received a new roof, paid for by insurance.
